We introduce the parameter of block elimination distance as a measure how close graph is to some particular class. Formally, given class $${\mathcal {G}}$$ , {B}}({\mathcal {G}})$$ contains all graphs whose blocks belong and {A}}({\mathcal where removal vertex creates in .
